Sport Specific Guidelines

The Ottawa Return to Play Roadmap is an initiative of the Ottawa Sport Council in collaboration with 70 Ottawa Community sport organizations.

Below you will find sport specific guidelines from various local, provincial and national sport organizations.

We have also developed a list of resources and guidance documents from Provincial Sport Organizations (PSO) and National Sport Organizations (NSO): Sport Specific RTP Guidelines

The Province of Ontario has developed a Return to Play page with various links to resources for a safe return to play during COVID-19.

In addition, we have developed a comprehensive list of Global Sport and Recreation Guidelines: Global Physical Distancing Guidelines for Sport and Recreation

Under "Sport Specific Guidelines", you will find Return to Play protocols, guidelines and waivers for individual sports. These documents are for use by parents, caregivers, athletes, coaches and administrators.

Please note, we have also included guidelines from outside of the province (British Columbia) as these resources may provide helpful sport specific information when it comes to identifying key suggestions/sport specific needs (i.e., cleaning protocols and personal support guidelines).

Important Disclaimer: See your provincial and municipal guidelines prior to program implementation and if you have specific questions related to sport specific guidelines, please contact the organization directly.
